STDs

The teenage hacker who managed to unlock the iPhone so that it can be used with cellular networks other than AT&T will be trading his reworked gadget for a new car.

George Hotz, of Glen Rock, N.J., said he had reached the deal with CertiCell, a Louisville, Ky.-based mobile phone repair company.

Hotz posted on his blog that he traded his modified iPhone for "a sweet Nissan 350Z and 3 8GB iPhones."

"We do not have any plans on the table right now to commercialize Mr. Hotz' discovery," Daidone said in a statement.

Mash's thoughts:

This fellow is obviously a hater. He could have got so much more for the hacked iPhone. I mean a car and 3 other iPhones? He could have asked for more money. He could have asked for a cut of the profits once the hacked phone is commercialized. He could have sent some of that money this way. He could have even made a mention to us, like a shoutout - to his homeboys above the border. But no, he has severe cases of selfishitis, selfishexia, selfishimia, share-o-phobia, among other STDs (Selfishly Thoughtout Decisions).

Why be a hater, Mr. George Hotz? Believe me, you are, as of now, so far from hot that you are cold. Like the water. In the ice. In Antarctica. At night. In the winter. That's how cold you are. Brrrrrrrrrr. Watch, when this blog becomes world reknowned, we'll hack our own blog and make money off of it too. Watch. You'll see.

[Please Mr. Hotz, don't sue us for defamation of character. It's all good, right homie? You got a slick ride. We got a web log post out of it. It sounds fair to me =)]

  1. Now of course, George Hotz is actually a pretty cool guy because if you go on to his blog, he shows you how to unlock the iPhone yourself.

Unfortunately, I need an iPhone first, before I can unlock it.

He got 3 brand spanking new iPhones that he's giving to people who helped him unlock it. I say, why not get one for someone who truly needs it and who's shamelessly plugging away your cause?! STDs!!!!! =)

  2. Hahahaha...maybe you should ask Mr. Hotz himself!!! He seems like a nice man, I mean, especially since he's posted how to unblock the phone AND acknowledged that he had help doing it!!! I'm sure he could have gotten more out of it, but maybe just the fact that he accomplished such a feat, and was recognized was reward enough for him. Yeah, I'm just trying to rain on your parade here...sorry, you can continue to vent...I've pretty much said all I wanted to say :D

  3. Well said Mash - well said - i couldn't have said it better myself. I'm pretty sure we would have unlocked the iPhone ourselves - it seems ridiculously easy (i obviously have absolutely no idea what i'm talking about here) - if we had dedicated our summer to unlocking the iPhone like Mr.Hotz decided to do - but we decided to pursue more meaningful endeavors and made our summer so much more productive. Like frolicking in the sun and playing pranks on people...thats wat i like to call Staying True to Delightfully Sunny Summers...(STDss as well - wow that was a stretch on my part...)

  4. Here's a bright idea genius: email Georgie boy and beg him for an Iphone! Like seriously, it's NOT that hard to think this stuff up man, just use your God-gifted organs out there.

  5. Hahahaha...well, if you guys REALLY want to get an iPhone...I can always write a nice little (ok, so really, it would be a LONG letter) and ask Mr. Hotz for a few iPhones!!! I'm sure if we flatter him enough, he'll be ever so kind as to pass us a few iPhones. Perhaps I'll use some calligraphy pens, and scented paper...hahahahaha!!!! I CLEARLY need something to do :(
