Near Death Experience #2

Well today started out like any other day - woke up early - stayed late till classes were over - had some lunch in between somewhere.

Just your normal average day. Nothing spectacular.

Ofcourse that all changed on my drive home. The weather outside may have contributed to my 2nd Near Death Experience in just under a year - the fact that they are getting frighteningly more frequent can't be a good thing.

The day had started out with some rain that had continued to drizzle downtown at night. On my way home i was on Gerrard St - going west with my friend following me in his car. At the intersection near Gerrard Square, as i was going through it - the lights being green and all - a white beatup hatchback swerved in from the adjacent street while taking a right and skipped both lanes on their side and cut me off.

Now - everyone knows about my cougar like reflexes - my dexterity is both legendary and awe inspiring - and if it hadn't been for those god-given talents - i might not have been around to tell you what transpired next.

As the car swerved in front of me - i braked and turned to avoid slamming into them - but as i did so - my tires slid on the wet street car tracks and spun me around into oncoming traffic on the opposite lanes.

My van was braking, turning and skidding on its side as i spun around - and did a complete 360 onto oncoming traffic. How i managed to avoid the cars on the opposite side of the road is a mystery to me. I think i've got guardian angels looking out for me - cause it was far too close a call.

Needless to say i was royaly pissed off at the guy who had cut me off. It was strange because this time around i didn't feel scared or frightened at the prospect of slamming into multiple vehicles and bouncing around in a tin can across 4 lanes.

I was just ticked - but in a calm, civilized way.

So as i did my 360 - i immediately turned right around and sped up after the guy who had cut me off - and chased him down while honking my heart out. As i pulled up next to them - i noticed they were high as kites and shit scared - ofcourse i did the mandatory screaming while they tried apologizing.

My friend later on told me that as he was following me - and saw me take that nasty turn he got sick while watching my van skid around on two wheels - he thought i was gonna flip over and do vehicular gymnastics on the road. Ofcourse i was nonchalant about the whole thing - near death experiences being so frequent and all - i mean really - what better way to end your day?
